Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in engineering field related to construction inspection, surveying, materials inspection and/or testing.
• An associate degree in engineering with one year of engineering technician experience OR a bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent combination.
• Related experience, education, and training may include chemistry, construction management, biology, geology, mathematics and/or physics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction materials for quantity, quality and compliance with contract specifications.
• Document contractor activities, organize and review inspection data, and support project teams with accurate information.
• Perform site inspection and data reviews; ensure safety for construction crews and the traveling public.

Education

Associate degree in engineering (civil or transportation-related)

Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil or transportation-related)

Equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
