Job summary

Freese and Nichols seeks a Construction Representative/Inspector to join our Raleigh, NC field team. You will observe and inspect transportation, water and facilities projects to ensure conformity with plans and specs, and prepare daily reports for project teams.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, coordination with clients and contractors, and contributing to preconstruction meetings and change orders. A valid driver license and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant construction field experience as a construction representative or inspector.
• Valid and active driver license; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect ongoing construction to ensure conformance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare construction daily reports and assist with document control processes.
• Support preconstruction meetings, progress checks, and conflict resolution.
• Provide information to project managers to define change orders or supplemental agreements.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and team members; read plans and specs.
