Job summary

AI Engineers, Inc. (AIE) seeks a Construction Inspector for NYC projects. You will read and interpret plans, support the project team, and ensure the client has the inspection reports needed.

This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can work independently or with a team in a dynamic consulting firm. You will prepare daily reports, perform quantity computations, conduct material sampling and testing, and maintain field records.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction materials, methods, and procedures.
• 1+ years of field inspection experience in civil, highway, vertical, or related engineering and survey fields.
• Experience with MTA projects is required.
• Track Training Certification required.
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related, preferred.
• NETTCP HMA/CI/S&A and/or ACI certification, NICET II-IV certification, Professional Engineering License or CCM/CMIT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Facilitate the project team and ensure the client has the inspection reports they need.
• Build relationships with the client and oversee the construction of projects
• Prepare daily inspection reports.
• Perform quantity computations.
• Perform material sampling and testing.
• Maintain field records.
