Job summary

Shive-Hattery is seeking an experienced Construction Representative to join our Des Moines, IA office. In this role, you will perform field inspections and assist in construction testing for various civil and building projects.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Contract administration experience on Iowa DOT projects preferred.
• Experience conducting field inspections.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections to measure daily quantities of installed materials.
• Evaluate plans and specifications for construction projects.
• Prepare project specific reports and daily observation reports.

Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to lift 25+ pounds

Education

Associates Degree in Construction Technology or equivalent experience
