Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Technical Assistant for Pittsburgh construction projects, primarily PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike assignments. You will apply standard inspection procedures to ongoing activities during and after construction for quality, safety, and conformance to plans and codes.

Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent; strong computer skills and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Requires strong computer proficiency.
• Must have an active driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Must successfully complete JMT’s Motor Vehicle screening.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, site layouts, specs, and methods for compliance with safety and regulations.
• Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify elevation and alignment to plans and codes.
• Maintain record documents and field notes.
