Job summary

Qualifications

• Field experience or NICET Level I testing completed.
• Previous NYSDOT experience as ET/TCI preferred.
• One year of college in Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering Technology with math and civil technology credits.

Responsibilities

• Locate points on the worksite using project drawings.
• Identify construction operations and locate references in standards, specs and plans.
• Perform basic math computations (areas and volumes).
• Accurately measure and compare values with plans.
• Identify tools and equipment used for inspection, testing and measuring.
• Properly identify and use PPE on the construction site.
• Identify work zone traffic control components.
• Prepare accurate and understandable reports of operations.
