Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Field Construction Coordinator to support field and office teams in building telecom networks across North America. You will help compile data, track milestones, and assist with project scheduling and documentation.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, managing subcontractor processes, and ensuring timely data entry and material tracking. Travel to various Ledcor sites in West Virginia may be required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of construction experience.
• Combination of work experience and/or trade training in an industry-related program.
• Prior experience as Coordinator or Data Entry is a plus.
• Telecommunications/wireless industry experience preferred.
• General understanding of construction docs, drawings, and specs.
• Knowledge of current construction practices.
• Scheduling software proficiency is an asset.
• Familiarity with GPS Photo Apps is helpful.

• Assist Construction and Engineering teams with field and office activities, track milestones and deadlines, help create/maintain project schedules, and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Compile and process construction documentation (As-builts, redlines, photos, splice docs).
• Coordinate with Engineering and Construction vendors and in-house resources in daily OSP operations.
• Support tendering and management of subcontractors and suppliers; review invoices and progress claims.
• Request materials from warehouse and document consumption.
• Data entry for daily production, timesheets, equipment timesheets, and subcontractors.
• Read construction drawings to assist the Superintendent with pre-construction walk-outs and notes.
• Promote Ledcor safety culture and implement the Project Specific Safety Program.

The Field Construction Coordinator, under direction and guidance, has knowledge of current construction work safe practices. In this role, you will assist with documentation and compiling data for crews that are building telecommunications networks.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assisting Construction and Engineering teams with various field and office activities, including but not limited to field data collection, tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines, assists with the creation and maintenance of the project schedule, and provides ongoing updates to project stakeholders
• Compile and process general construction documentation, including As-builts, redlines, construction photos, fiber sequential sheets, splice and test documentation and splice redline sheets
• Coordinate with Engineering and Construction vendors and inhouse self-perform resources in daily OSP operations activities
• Supports the subcontract and supplier tender and management process and assists with the review of invoices and progress claims
• Requesting materials from warehouse and documenting consumption on those materials
• Data entry for daily production, employee timesheets, equipment timesheets, and for subcontractors
• Ability to read construction drawings to assist the Superintendent with pre-construction walk out, compiling constructability notes, white line and calling in locates
• Promotes Ledcor safety culture on the project by taking an active role in the implementation of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to achieve compliance with corporate safety manuals and all regulatory boards and authorities

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of construction experience
• Combination of work experience and/or technical training in an industry-related trade certification or education program
• Previous experience as Coordinator, Data Entry specialist is an asset
• Experience in telecommunications/wireless industry preferred.
• General understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specifications
• Knowledge of current construction practices
• Strong computer skills with an aptitude for learning new programs Familiarity with scheduling software an asset
• Proficiency with Quickbase, Bluebeam Review Extreme, Office 365, SharePoint, Google Drive/Docs/Sheets, and GPS Photo Apps
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced work environment, managing time sensitive issues and deadlines
• Ability to work with little supervision

Working Conditions

• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
• This is a site-based position that will require travel to various Ledcor offices and project sites across the state of West Virginia
