Job summary

RK Industries is seeking a Commissioning Technician to support the planning, coordination, and documentation of commissioning activities for commercial and industrial construction projects. You will work with Commissioning Managers, Project Managers, and field teams to verify installation readiness and perform functional testing of MEP systems.

Qualifications

3–7 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, commissioning or related technical environments.
Experience with MEP, HVAC, controls, or building systems.
Ability to read drawings, specs, and sequences of operation.

Responsibilities

Support development and maintenance of commissioning plans.
Assist with design reviews and constructability evaluations for system performance.
Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, logs, checklists, and reports.
Coordinate commissioning activities with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors.
Perform field verification of installation readiness before system start-up and testing.
Track commissioning issues, corrective actions, and resolutions.
Verify TAB reports and assist in identifying discrepancies.
