Job summary

CSI is seeking a Commissioning Technician to support startup, commissioning, and ongoing performance of process equipment and automated systems. This hands-on role provides electro-mechanical and automation support at customer facilities and performs factory acceptance testing at CSI.

You’ll be based at CSI’s Springfield facility and travel extensively across the United States, with 50–60% of workdays on the road.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Associate degree in Electromechanical or Mechatronic Technology, preferred; valid driver’s license required.
• 4+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Maintenance or production experience in a food manufacturing plant; awareness of food safety and continuous improvement.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems and electrical circuits/equipment using 480VAC/3/60, 120 VAC/1/60, and 24 VDC power.
• Allen-Bradley PLC programming and Rockwell Software experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning & Startup.
• Start up, commission, and provide sustaining support for automated process equipment and systems at customer facilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems, electrical circuits, instrumentation, and automation controls during startup and early production.
• Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT) at CSI, including electrical and mechanical equipment hook-up in accordance with safety requirements.
• Train customers on proper system operation and maintenance, respond to support requests, and provide after-hours assistance when systems are coming online.
