Job summary

Healthcare in Action in North Los Angeles area seeks a Clinical Support Partner (MA or EMT) to assist clinicians, take vitals, draw blood and provide wound care. You will help coordinate care, arrange rides, pick up prescriptions and schedule appointments.

You will contribute to care plans, educate patients, triage calls, and support documentation and patient safety in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Medical Assistant diploma/certificate or CA EMT required.
• 2+ years of experience as Medical Assistant/EMT in medical settings; required.
• Ability to perform blood draws.
• Understanding of ICD-10 Coding preferred.
• Experience using EPIC EMR preferred.
• Excellent assessment skills required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and assessments including EKGs, vaccinations and blood draws.
• Provide wound care and patient monitoring.
• Develop individualized Care Plans in collaboration with patients and team.
• Educate patients on medical issues and health maintenance.
• Coordinate care including rides, prescriptions and appointments.
• Document visits accurately and timely.
• Maintain stock room and order supplies.
