Job summary

Stryker Corporation is seeking a field-based clinical trainer in the Detroit area. You will educate physicians on Inari device handling and implantation, lead training sessions, and identify opportunities for therapy adoption with regional teams.

You will serve as a clinical interface, sharing product expertise, supporting complex inquiries, and collaborating with product developers while traveling up to 80% of the time. Base salary is $130,000 with potential commissions and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing or related clinical discipline preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of equivalent education, training, and hands-on experience in a cath lab, nursing, or comparable clinical environment.

Responsibilities

Educate physicians on device handling, implantation and troubleshooting techniques related to Inari products. Develop, lead and/or facilitate training sessions and in-service education programs in the hospital environment. Identify therapy adoption opportunities in collaboration with Regional and Account Managers in local geographies. Communicate highly technical information clearly and effectively during fast-paced procedures. Act as a clinical interface between the medical community and the Company. Demonstrate ability to build and sustain credible business relationships with customers and share product expertise accordingly. Provide education and clinical support in response to the most complex field inquiries on an as-needed basis. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all Inari products, related products and technical knowledge, trends, and players. Collaborate with product development teams to provide feedback on device features and new device development. Document procedural case observations for regulatory requirements and ongoing continuous improvement. Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Associates degree in nursing or related clinical discipline preferred. Minimum three (3) years of equivalent combination of education, training, and hands‑on experience in a cath lab, nursing, or comparable clinical environment. Proven understanding of cardiovascular science, cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology Strong clinical acumen is required. Understanding of sales process is a plus. Travel up to 80% of the time – both locally and regionally, and occasionally overnight. Night/weekend on call per pre‑planned scheduled. Extensive sitting, standing, and speaking. Light lifting to 10 pounds. Must be open to a dynamic work environment which includes regular interaction with several different physician and hospital staff customers in several locations. Must have desire to participate in a healthcare team in the treatment of patients and anticipate needs of others. Apply critical thinking skills to solve complex clinical problems. Excellent command of the English language with comprehensive written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills. Must have the ability to concentrate on detail and work independently and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail Comprehensive computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office with ability to develop presentation materials.

Travel Percentage: 70%

Base + commission: $130,000.00 and may be eligible to earn commission and/or bonuses + benefits.

Work Flexibility Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
