Job summary

AstraZeneca plc is seeking a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to manage and monitor clinical study sites with strong local collaboration. Field-based role with travel, primarily within the Mid-Atlantic region.

The CRA ensures site delivery meets study commitments, maintains inspection readiness, and supports quality management across the Local Study Team. The role includes site qualification, training, regulatory submissions, and data integrity duties while coordinating with LSAD and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related discipline, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of CRA or similar clinical research experience in pharma/biotech/CRO
• Excellent knowledge of ICH‑GCP guidelines and basic GMP/GDP
• Good knowledge of local regulations and trial requirements
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the selection of potential investigators.
• Monitors site performance and ensures adherence to monitoring plans.
• Trains and advises investigators and site staff on study-related matters.
• Ensures site staff complete required ICH-GCP training and remain inspection-ready.
• Drives site performance by identifying and resolving issues.
• Updates CTMS and other clinical systems within required timelines.
• Supports audit and regulatory inspection readiness activities.
