Field Claims Specialist II, Property (Tallahassee, FL) - $2500 Sign-On Bonus

Field Claims Specialist II, Property (Tallahassee, FL) - $2500 Sign-On Bonus

Apply now for the position located in Florida. This full-time role, posted recently, offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus, with half paid after 3 months and the remainder after 9 months.

Territory: Tallahassee, FL area

Ideal Candidate Location: Reside in the Tallahassee, FL Metro area

This is a work-from-home position with daily travel to policy locations (average 3-4 days/week) using a company vehicle (personal use, gas, and maintenance included). The role involves onsite and virtual inspections, with potential support for additional territories in a desk adjuster capacity.

Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates living more than 50 miles from the territory.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of insurance property claims handling or adjusting experience
  • Proficiency with Xactimate
  • Experience writing estimates and managing claims end-to-end
  • Construction background (Residential, Roofing, Remodeling, Water mitigation, etc.)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Note: CAT duty is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Handle claims promptly with minimal oversight, making decisions within delegated authority.
  2. Determine policy coverage and apply claims practices accordingly.
  3. Manage reserves and adhere to company procedures.
  4. Maintain knowledge of insurance policies, laws, and local repair procedures.
  5. Report incidents, collaborate on fraud detection, and prepare files for legal actions as needed.
  6. Use claims systems for follow-ups and documentation.
  7. Deliver outstanding customer service, maintaining professional conduct.

Other duties as assigned. Reports to Claims Manager. This is an individual contributor role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • State licensing and claims certification as required
  • 3-5 years of property claims experience
  • Knowledge of insurance practices, estimating, and claims systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to conduct physical inspections, including rooftop access

Additional criteria such as leadership skills may be prioritized. Staffing exceptions require approval.

Work Conditions: Normal office or field environment, physical inspections, irregular hours, travel, CAT readiness, and a valid driver’s license are necessary.
