Field Claims Specialist II, Property (Columbia, SC) - $2500 Sign-on Bonus

Apply now for this exciting opportunity in South Carolina. This full-time, work-from-home role involves day travel to policy locations with a company vehicle. The position covers Columbia, SC, and surrounding areas, with potential support for additional territories.

Sign-on Bonus: $2,500 for external candidates, paid in two installments: half after 3 months and the remainder after 9 months.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of insurance property claims handling or adjusting experience
  • Proficiency with Xactimate
  • Experience in estimating and managing claims from start to finish
  • Construction background (residential, roofing, remodeling, water mitigation, etc.)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities include:

  • Promptly handling claims with minimal oversight
  • Determining policy coverages and applying claims practices
  • Managing reserves and ensuring file compliance
  • Maintaining knowledge of industry standards and policy changes
  • Partnering with SIU and Subrogation teams to identify fraud and subrogation opportunities
  • Delivering outstanding customer service and adhering to professional standards

This role requires physical inspections, including rooftop access, and may involve working irregular hours and CAT deployments. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate in various weather conditions are essential.
