SUMMARY
The primary role of this position is pre‑sales support for security solution projects. The Field CISO provides expertise in the areas of requirement gathering, design, configuration, and installation relative to enterprise security and organizational best practices relating to improving organizational security. A secondary role of this position is to provide security consulting services to organizations to develop strategies and policies and provide security‑focused planning.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support to assist in the sale, design, and configuration, from the company security product portfolio.
- Conduct and/or participate in demonstrations, customer evaluations, and ROI analyses. Deliver technical presentations and respond to technical questions during sales calls. Provide technical content for bids and sales proposals.
- Provide direct sales support in the areas of customer environment information gathering, requirements collection, performance evaluation, and complex configuration planning.
- Develop, design, and recommend technology security solutions including endpoint protection, email security, managed security solutions, multi‑factor authentication, perimeter defense products, and other hardware and software products.
- Stay current on and maintain an in‑depth knowledge of security‑focused solutions, changing security ecosystem, best practices, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Establish and cultivate ongoing business relationships with customers and vendors to facilitate additional business.
- Document prospect and customer contact activity and customer configuration information in Salesforce.com.
- Evaluate existing environment and business practices to assess, document, develop, and deliver security‑related policies. Become a trusted advisor with customers in order to provide competent recommendations and assist organizations in securing their environments.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise and educate both the sales team and customers on security solutions, regulatory compliance, and the changing threat landscape for businesses. Develop, deliver, and present collateral for educational or sales‑driven presentations or conversations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university (Computer Science, Information Technology, or a Security related degree); or three to six years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more years working directly with scoping, implementing, or managing security solutions within an organization.
- Five or more years of experience combining knowledge around endpoint protection, perimeter defense, email security, and best practices regarding these point solutions.
- Five or more years of experience working directly with managed services.
- Five or more years directly working with security frameworks (HIPAA, NIST, PCI‑DSS).
- Three or more years of experience working with senior and executive leadership within an organization. This can be in the form of being a decision‑maker or a key contributor.
- One or more years of experience as a direct manager responsible for making decisions that drive business function or operation. Direct exposure to writing policies, standards, or guidelines and relaying the information to leadership and/or the workforce.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES PREFERRED
- Industry certifications strongly preferred: CCNA Security, CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, CASP, GSEC.
- Endpoint protection solution implementation experience is a plus.
- Email security solution implementation experience is a plus.
- Perimeter defense solution implementation experience is a plus. Exposure to how security relates to business risk is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Occasional domestic travel is possibly required for training and meetings. (Less than 10%)
