Job summary

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is seeking a Carpenter to join our field team in Mentone, TX. The role involves laying out projects, reading blueprints, repairing and erecting structures, and working from scaffolding and ladders in outdoor environments.

You will travel to remote sites, endure extreme heat and cold, and participate in mandatory safety meetings while supporting a team-driven, safety-focused work culture.

Qualifications

• Two years of carpentry experience is required.
• Must be able to read blueprints and do basic math.
• Travel is a must with extended periods away from home in remote areas at times.
• Must be willing to work outside in extreme heat, humidity, and cold conditions.
• Must be willing to attend mandatory safety meetings.
• Must be willing to work in a team environment.
• Shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare layout of the project.
• Estimate height, width, length, and other proportions.
• Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Utilize hammers, pry-bars, chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures.
• Work on ladders and scaffolding.
• Check work to ensure code and specifications.
• Use levels and surveying equipment to ensure level and secure structures.
• Erect scaffolding.
• Observe and comply with safety rules.
• Aim to achieve high production with quality output.
