Job summary

Fund for the Public Interest is hiring Canvass Directors to build the people power needed to educate and mobilize support for campaigns across the country. Directors will engage one-on-one with the public, leading to lasting advocacy and fundraising impact.

We offer an excellent training program and opportunities for advancement, with locations nationwide and a flexible starting schedule throughout the year. Compensation ranges from $40,000 to $53,750 depending on location and role.

Qualifications

• We are looking for candidates who have leadership experience and potential, excellent communication skills, and who want to work hard to make lasting, positive change on important issues.
• Being a Canvass Director requires that you work independently, exercise good judgment and work hard to meet your office’s staffing, campaign and fieldwork goals.

Responsibilities

• Build public support through one-on-one, face-to-face conversations on doorsteps.
• Hire, train and manage your own team.
• Work to build lasting support for campaigns and fundraising efforts.
