Job summary

ICF's Environment & Planning Division is seeking a full-time biologist to support field surveys in California. You will plan and execute field assignments, conduct species-specific surveys, and assist with writing technical reports and assessments for energy, water, and transportation projects.

Travel to other states may be required; growth opportunities exist in leadership and environmental permitting work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or related field
• Field survey experience in California wildlife species (mammals, herpetofauna, birds, etc.)
• Experience with data entry/formatting and field report writing
• Proficiency with GPS navigation and various field data tools

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute California-based field surveys and monitoring
• Conduct general and species-specific surveys per regulations
• Prepare and review Biological Technical Reports and Assessments
• Document findings in logs, reports, and emails
• Communicate with clients and senior biologists; travel as needed
