Job summary

Dudek is seeking early-career to mid-level biologists to perform as-needed biological surveys across project sites in California. The role involves vegetation mapping, habitat assessments, and surveys for wildlife and aquatic resources in support of regulatory permits.

Ideal candidates have a biology/environmental science background, strong field and reporting skills, and a valid driver’s license. The position involves fieldwork, travel across California, and teamwork within a project setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, or related field; OR 1–3 years field experience in biological resource management.
• Knowledge of California wildlife and/or plant species is required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance by start date.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys with Dudek staff and subconsultants.
• Vegetation mapping, habitat characterization, and surveys for special-status species.
• Aquatic resource delineations to support regulatory permits.
• Record observations on Dudek electronic platforms for reporting.
• Travel to project sites throughout California and perform on-site fieldwork.
