Job summary

Malin seeks a Battery Service Technician to maintain, service and support batteries and related equipment at customer sites in Austin, TX. You will travel to customers, diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance and ensure timely, cost-efficient service.

Responsibilities include picking up and delivering batteries, repairing equipment per guidelines, completing paperwork, maintaining tools and vehicle, and adhering to safety standards; heavy lifting and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read schematics.
• Basic knowledge of industrial electricity and electrical systems.
• Willing to work overtime or weekends; may be on 24/7 call.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record and valid license.

Responsibilities

• Pick-up and deliver batteries and chargers; install new equipment.
• Travel to customer sites; diagnose, troubleshoot and repair battery equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule and guidelines.
• Complete paperwork and time records accurately per procedures.
• Account for parts, materials, tools and consumables used.
• Drive and work safely following safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Keep van and interior equipment, manuals and documents in order.
