Job summary
Bowery Residents' Committee is seeking a full-time position focused on supporting clients with substance use disorders in New York shelters. Responsibilities include working with a Field Based Social Work Supervisor, providing guidance, and assisting clients with accessing services. Applicants must have a H.S. diploma/GED, a Certified Peer Specialist (CRPA) Certificate, and ideally be bilingual in Spanish and English. Participate in a two-person team with the Field Based Social Work Supervisor.
Work collaboratively with shelter staff on substance use disorders.
Build rapport with shelter staff and provide peer support.
