Job summary

Peninsula Behavioral Health seeks an Outreach Specialist to engage individuals who are homeless and suspected of Opioid Use Disorders. You will use lived recovery experience to support enrollment in treatment and connect clients to housing, benefits, and services.

Responsibilities include building partnerships with ER staff and providers, maintaining data, and ensuring confidentiality while delivering compassionate recovery-focused support.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
• Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration with PBH assistance.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist within 6 months with PBH assistance.
• Must have lived experience with mental health condition or recovery from SUD for 2+ years.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Provide vaccination records (MMR, Hep B, Tdap, flu).

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach and connect with homeless individuals suspected of SUD.
• Establish strong relationships with treatment providers and ER staff.
• Assist clients with housing, benefits, and treatment connections.
• Help enroll clients in MAT or other treatments.
• Maintain data, reports, and confidentiality per regulations.
