LSU AgCenter in Louisiana seeks an Assistant/Associate Extension Agent (Nutrition and Community Health) to lead nutrition education and community health outreach in Assumption parish. You will recruit participants, deliver core curricula, and coordinate advisory committees under established program directions.

You will manage a 70% Flavors of Health (FOH) effort and a 30% CDC High Obesity Program (CDC-HOP) agenda, promoting healthy food access and physical activity while coordinating with parish

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree with GPA 2.5+ (4.0 scale) or 3.0+ for graduate work.
• Master’s degree in the field listed is desired.
• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in recruiting, training and supervising volunteers; leadership development.
• Knowledge of public relations; ability to cope with change; teamwork is essential.

Mansioni

• Develop and maintain a plan of work for FOH nutrition education in Assumption parish.
• Recruit clientele, implement core curricula, prepare materials and activities.
• Disseminate research-based information and participate in educational meetings.
• Lead community advisory committees to guide outreach efforts.
• Coordinate Healthy Communities projects to promote nutrition and physical activity.
• Educate partners about nutrition-focused policy, systems and environmental strategies.
• Occasional overnight travel and evening/weekend work as required.
