Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a field-based Associate Clinical Specialist to support Neuromodulation Pain, Target Drug Delivery, and Interventional Therapies in Southwest Georgia / Tallahassee and surrounding districts. The role requires clinical or medical sales experience and travel up to 50% with overnight stays.

Responsibilities include procedural support, physician training, device testing, and post-sale education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years of clinical or medical sales experience; OR an Associate Degree with 2 years of clinical or medical sales experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a health care related field.
• RN or HCP with experience in a sterile environment; clinical experience with implantable neurological products and patient care.
• Experience with a medical device or pharmaceutical company; clinical experience in neurology, neurosurgery, OR, pain management, or home health care.
• Understanding of basic reimbursement and healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent Medtronic during surgical procedures with equipment, support, device testing and programming.
• Manage patients through all phases of clinical process and educate on device features and benefits.
• Provide clinical support in surgeries, re-programming, troubleshooting and follow ups in hospitals and clinics.
• Respond promptly to technical inquiries by customers, patients, and colleagues.
• Educate physicians, hospital staff on products and therapies; coordinate trainings and sessions as needed.
• Assist management and Sales Training in district education/training.
• Comply with event reporting and documentation using Medtronic tools.
• Place orders with customer service for pending POs and product replacement.
• Manage inventory and cycle counts for cases covered; ensure no expired or held products.
• Contribute to quarterly district/region/national goals; document activities with business tools.
• Visit accounts to replenish literature and maintain relationships with office staff.
• Regularly use Excel, mobile devices, and laptops; manage business expenses.
