Job summary

CSPNJ is a mental health nonprofit agency in Newark, NJ, seeking full-time Support Worker(s) to assist residents with psychiatric or substance use challenges. You’ll provide direct support, skill development, and linkages to community resources to help residents live independently.

Work is field-focused (70–80%), meeting service plans, documenting progress notes, and collaborating with the Supportive Housing Coordinator to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a mental health related discipline preferred or equivalent lived experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to document progress notes clearly and timely per requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support, skill development, and resource linkages to residents.
• Meet residents 70-80% in field and assess service plan needs.
• Complete progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
