Job summary

Davis Industrial seeks an Industrial Mechanical Project Manager to lead field-based projects across Florida, overseeing fabrication and installation with hands-on technical depth. This role requires moving from estimation through execution, ensuring quality and profitability while maintaining strong customer relationships.

You will manage crews in the field, travel as needed, and champion safety across all projects, including large capital ventures.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in industrial mechanical work, including fabrication and repair.
Proven ability to lead and develop people.
Experience planning and managing projects from estimate through completion, on time and on budget.
Strong customer communication and leadership to crews.
Technical/engineering or construction-management background is a plus; track record matters more.

Responsibilities

Scope, estimate, and plan service, mechanical, and fabrication projects, including overland conveyor installations.
Lead projects end to end: plan sequence, materials, manpower, and logistics, then run field execution.
Lead, motivate, and develop the crews—not just direct the work.
Own the quality and profitability of the projects you run (P&L).
Be a knowledgeable point of contact for customers before, during, and after the job.
Provide leadership on emergency and after-hours calls—24/7/365 operation.
Champion safety on every job (OSHA / MSHA / DOT).
