Job summary

State of California is seeking a Fire and Life Safety Officer II (Health Facilities Construction) to observe healthcare facility construction and ensure conformance with approved plans and fire and life safety standards. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of Title 24 CCRs, be able to prepare detailed reports, and work under the Regional Compliance Officer with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Observe the construction of healthcare facilities to ensure conformance with approved plans and safety standards.
• Comply with Title 24 CCRs, policy notices, and applicable codes and guidelines.
• Travel 80–100% to assigned counties and inspect sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect health facility construction for adherence to specifications and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with project participants on code-related matters and documentation.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain records per regulations.
