First Command Financial Services, Inc. seeks a Financial Planning Advocate to serve as the subject-matter expert and field-facing consultant for the financial planning experience.

The role trains advisors, designs plans, and guides product strategy while maintaining deep knowledge of retirement, benefits, taxes, and estate planning. The FPA will work with Field Force Training, Advisor Operations, field leadership, and home office teams to promote coaching as the foundation of client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in finance or business-related fields.
• Advanced credentials in financial planning strongly preferred (CFP, ChFC, CPA, etc.).
• 8+ years of relevant financial service industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to field offices for training delivery: 25-50% field travel as business needs dictate.
• Assist in training advisors in Client Engagement Processes and value of financial planning.
• Provide guidance to advisors on complex financial planning situations.
• Coordinate and deliver training in live and virtual settings to individual and group audiences.
• Develop and foster relationships with field leaders, home office partners, advisors, and support staff.
• Maintain deep understanding of financial planning concepts relevant to the target market.
• Develop expertise on financial planning software tools and provide training on those tools.
• Contribute to development of the financial planning philosophy and strategic training resources.
• Lead cross-department projects and represent financial planning in enterprise initiatives.
