Job summary

ERM is seeking an Environmental Permitting Advisor (Field Based) to support electric and gas projects with strong regulatory compliance focus. The role includes managing permitting, coordinating field activities, and ensuring Environmental Procedures are followed across projects in NY and related jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in a related field, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency in Article VII with familiarity of Article VIII.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental/civil engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, must demonstrate proficiency in Article VII, and basic understanding of the new Article VIII.
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant industry practice, standards and legislation.

Responsibilities

• Review electric, gas and facility capital improvement projects and facility modifications to evaluate potential environmental impacts and permitting needs.
• Oversee field operations, including site visits documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and company requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of current federal, state and local regulations and environmental procedures to ensure client compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to engineering and personnel on environmental regulations and procedures.
• Manage permitting within project schedules and oversee environmental aspects during design and construction.
