Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Architectural Historian Technician for on-call project support in Texas. The role involves outdoor fieldwork, photographing resources, and data collection with a tablet, with some office analysis.

The candidate should have some graduate coursework in historic preservation or related experience, be able to travel, and work both independently and within an interdisciplinary team. This position offers hourly pay and limited benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in historic preservation or related field preferred.
• Field documentation experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently within an interdisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform field photography and data collection using tablet and camera.
• May conduct archival research online and at libraries and repositories.
• Contribute to inventory forms and technical reports.
• Support consultation with state, federal, and local agencies.
• Assist with nominations, preservation plans, historic reports, and related projects.
