Job summary

Southern Devall is seeking a Barge Quality Inspector to ensure tank barges meet safety, cleanliness, reliability, and regulatory standards. This field-based role requires travel to docks, terminals, ports, and marine facilities along the Gulf Coast.

You will perform inspections, document findings, coordinate repairs with engineering and maintenance teams, and maintain vessel readiness to meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.
• Current Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC/MMD) or ability to obtain.
• TWIC credential or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tank barges for safety, cleanliness, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Document inspection findings and maintain records.
• Coordinate repairs with maintenance and engineering teams.
• Ensure vessels meet customer specifications and operational requirements.
• Perform internal and external inspections and testing of cargo systems and equipment.
