Job summary

Keystone Clearwater Solutions in Washington, PA is seeking a Field Automation Technician to support our automated water transfer systems in the field. This hands-on role installs and maintains sensors, troubleshoots electronics, configures devices, and ensures safe, efficient operation at remote customer sites.

The position splits time between field work and shop repairs at our Triadelphia, WV Automation Shop, with 12-hour shifts possible and regular travel.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of oil & gas or relevant industrial experience.
• Experience with electrical wiring, electronics, or instrumentation.
• Familiarity with multimeters, computers, and basic networking.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly.
• Field-based | Full-Time | 12-hour shifts possible | Travel and overnight stays as required

Responsibilities

• Set up and rig down automation equipment on site
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on sensors, valves, and controls
• Use hand tools, diagnostic gear, and software to configure and test systems
• Respond to field service calls and troubleshoot real-time issues
• Interact with clients and represent the company professionally onsite
• Complete daily reporting and safety documentation
• Travel regionally, often to remote locations, with occasional overnight stays
• Adhere to all SOPs, safety standards, and training requirements

Description

As a Field Automation Technician, you’ll support our automated water transfer systems in the field. This technical, hands‑on role involves installing and maintaining sensors, troubleshooting electronics, configuring devices, and ensuring safe and efficient operations at remote customer sites. You'll split time between field work and shop‑based equipment repairs, reporting directly to the Manager of Automated Operations.

This role is based out of our Triadelphia, WV Automation Shop.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on sensors, valves, and controls
• Use hand tools, diagnostic gear, and software to configure and test systems
