Job summary

Servtech is seeking an Automation Technician to install and service devices on oil field equipment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

The ideal candidate has 1–4 years in automation, a valid driver’s license, and experience with hand/power tools. This on‑site role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a safety‑driven mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; must be 18+ to drive company truck.
• 1–4 years of automation field experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Meet deadlines while working safely to deliver a quality product.
• Install automation devices on oil field equipment (pressure transmitters, level gauges, solenoids, meters, ESD buttons, relays, batteries, charging systems, junction boxes, RTU/PLC cabinets).
• Install steel piping stacks, gauges, conduit fittings; cut and mount Unistrut; pull wires and route in trays; trench and wire as needed; terminate wiring.
• Build structural supports and fabricate boxes/backplanes.
• Travel to customer locations safely; perform required tasks.
• Ensure service tickets are accurate and submitted timely.
• Understand basic process flow conditions related to product movement.
• Foster a positive work environment and adhere to safety/ conduct policies.
• Interact effectively with coworkers, clients, vendors, and other contacts.
