Job summary

Jobtailor in Dallas, TX is seeking a Foreman/Field Engineer to coordinate and supervise field crews, interpret construction documents, and collaborate with project engineers on RFIs, submittals, and field records. You will lead safety compliance, manage daily reports, participate in layout and field engineering, and help keep schedules on track while coordinating subcontractors.

Qualifications

0-3 years of relevant construction experience.
College degree or relevant Field Foreman/Field Engineer experience.
Basic safety awareness.
Supervisory experience.
Ability to keep daily reports.
Internship with commercial construction preferred but not required.
Fundamental understanding of project documents.
Experience with Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, and Revit or comparable construction technologies.
Ability to interpret construction documents, plans and specifications.
Understanding of OSHA and Beck safety policies and procedures.
Bluebeam basics familiarity.
Timely attendance.

Responsibilities

Work with the project team to sequence work with subcontractors and vendors.
Help ensure successful and safe project execution.
Directly supervise laborers and craft workers or direct an assigned project segment with one or more crafts.
Interpret construction documents, plans and specifications.
Manage and motivate the workforce.
Interact with Project Engineers on RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, and record drawings.
Assess work quality.
Monitor and enforce OSHA and Beck safety policies and procedures.
Assist with schedule development and adherence for assigned scopes of work.
Participate in project layout and field engineering.
Develop and maintain daily reports.
Identify and learn Lean Construction Practices and Principles.
Follow direction, collaborate with team members, and complete assigned tasks.
