Job summary

Alpha Omega Construction Group Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a Construction Assistant to coordinate and support roofing, siding, and maintenance installation projects, and to help maintain client sites.

The role requires a high school diploma, about one year of construction experience, good communication, and the ability to learn quickly. Bilingual Spanish is preferred; candidate should be able to lift 50–85 pounds and work outdoors in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Self-starter with ability to quickly learn construction processes and techniques.
• Ability to work in both field and office settings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office technology (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Clean driving record, with no accidents or major infractions within last 3 years.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking production of roofing/ siding installation.
• Run errands and assist supervisors in supply pick-up and drop-off.
• Assist Warehouse with packing and loading crew material pick-ups.
• Assist with pre/post and safety inspections and documentation, including taking pictures of completed work to ensure quality craftsmanship.
• Collaborate with the Field Supervisor to learn and develop skills in construction management.
• May operate equipment such as forklifts or company trucks.
• Other duties as assigned.
