Langan is seeking On Call Archaeological/Cultural Resource Technicians to join its collaborative team in Southern California. These individuals will serve a key function by supporting environmental and cultural resource project managers in conducting an array of field and desktop tasks.

You will collaborate and learn from our multi-disciplinary team of cultural resource, biology, site/civil, geotechnical, survey, and landscape architect professionals on a wide breadth of projects.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or related field.
• High School diploma or equivalent considered for certain tasks based on experience.
• Familiarity with NHPA, ARPA, NAGPRA and related regulations preferred.
• Hazwoper Certification and annual refresher preferred.
• 3+ years' related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with GIS and AutoCAD preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Adobe, Word and SharePoint preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to take direction well.
• Ability to travel to various job sites and work on-site as required.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct cultural resource pedestrian surveys.
• Perform background research at historical societies, museums, archives and repositories.
• Document cultural resource records and documentation.
• Conduct subsurface testing for presence/absence.
• Perform data recovery excavations.
• Monitor construction to ensure compliance with mitigation measures.
• Record searches at CHRIS information centers.
• Laboratory analysis and cataloging of artifacts.
• Prepare technical report sections and work logs.
• Maintain field equipment and assist with troubleshooting.
• Assume other duties as requested.
