ECORP Consulting, Inc. seeks field and monitoring archaeologists for projects across California, with offices in Rocklin, Chico, Fresno, Irvine, Redlands, or San Diego. Responsibilities include construction monitoring, pedestrian survey, site mapping, and recording field data.
Positions are temporary and on-call, wage based on education and experience. A Bachelor's degree in Anthropology is required; Master’s degree holders earn higher starting wages.
ECORP has an immediate need for field and monitoring archaeologists for projects throughout California. Candidates will work out of one of our offices located in Rocklin, Chico, Fresno, Irvine, Redlands, or San Diego.
Responsibilities depend upon the project and largely include construction monitoring, but may also include pedestrian survey, site mapping and recording, excavation, and other duties as assigned.
Work durations range from a few days to four weeks, depending on the project, with the potential for full-time work in the future.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology or other closely related field, successful completion of an archaeological field school or field methods course at an accredited university in the United States, and at least 1 year of full-time professional experience.
Wages are based on level of education, relevant experience, and quality of references. Bachelor’s Degree wage range is $24 to $27/hour. Master’s Degree in Anthropology and Registered Professional Archaeologists’ wage range starts at $30/hour.
All positions include paid mileage between ECORP’s closest office and the project location and, when overnight stays are required, hotel and per diem.
