Job summary

AECOM in Guam is seeking a Mid-level Archaeologist III for full-time employment. The role is a core part of the Cultural Resources Practice, reporting to the Honolulu Environmental Planning Technical Team Manager. You may serve as Field Director or Principal Investigator based on experience and education.

Responsibilities include leading fieldwork, archival research, data compilation, and GIS mapping, with supervision duties as needed. Travel to CNMI and Hawaiian Islands may be required.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Anthropology, Archaeology, History or closely related field required.
  • 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education in historic or prehistoric archaeology and cultural resources management with Guam experience.
  • Travel willingness to Guam, Hawaii, CNMI.
  • Valid driver's license and US citizenship required.
  • Preference for MA/MS/PhD and Secretariat of Interior qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fieldwork (survey, testing, data recovery, monitoring) and archival research.
  • Prepare environmental reports and manage data collection/ GIS mapping.
  • Supervise project staff and assist with budgets and scopes of work.
  • Provide cultural resource management advice and client liaison.
