Job summary

System One in Fort Stockton, TX seeks an Archaeological Field Technician for a contract role. You will perform field, lab, or GIS tasks under supervision, including excavations, site documentation, and artifact analysis.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Archaeology/Anthropology/Architectural History or related field, at least three months field experience, familiarity with Phase I–III work, and a valid driver's license. Willingness to travel and work varied hours is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform archaeological field work, lab work, or GIS work under supervision.
• Excavations of shovel test pits, excavation units, and block excavations.
• Document sites, identify features and artifacts, and conduct analyses.
• Create maps and GIS-based site documentation
