Job summary

GA Right of Way is seeking a Utility Arborist/Forester Line Patrol Specialist for South Georgia. The role involves ROW inspections, vegetation management planning, and documenting field observations in a four‑day workweek.

Candidates should be prepared to travel and operate GIS tools in a field setting. Ideal applicants will have a forestry-related degree or equivalent experience, ISA certification or plan to obtain it within 6 months, and pesticide licensure or the ability to obtain within 6

Qualifications

• College degree in Forestry or related field is preferred but not required.
• ISA Certified Arborist or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Commercial Pesticide Applicator License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proficiency with GIS applications and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Right-of-Way measurement and inspection across South Georgia.
• Vegetation identification and management within easements.
• Identify danger trees and document height/distance to conductors.
• Inspect poles, guy wires, anchors, and other utility assets.
• Document observations and communicate with landowners when needed.
