Job summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a Custom Applicator in Ethan, SD to work independently in the field, applying fertilizers and crop protection products while building relationships with local farmers.

You will operate sprayers and related equipment, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safe, accurate application in a demanding agricultural environment. The role offers hands-on experience with various machinery and the chance to contribute to one of the largest co-ops in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in Agriculture Production, Operations, and/or Agriculture Application.
• Must meet minimum age requirement.
• DOT and Company requirements.
• CDL with Hazmat endorsement or ability to attain one preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, apply fertilizer and crop protection products with equipment as needed.
• Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Educate customers on products and techniques used and how to support them with products and services.
• Assist sales staff to ensure orders are correct and patron needs are met.
• Perform warehouse tasks including loading/unloading and equipment maintenance.
• Move agricultural inputs from railcars and trucks.
• Deliver product to customers as needed.
• Perform general labor and maintenance duties as required.
