Field Applications Engineer - NW Territory

Role Overview

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join the Business Development Team, covering the Northwest Sales Territory. The incumbent will work out of a home office in Washington and engage with customers in technical discussions to generate new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engage with product marketing, sales, and customers to generate product design solutions quickly.
  2. Build responsive technical relationships with customers.
  3. Conduct data analytics, market, and technology research.
  4. Understand internal and vendor manufacturing capabilities.
  5. Provide input for product manufacturing and testing requirements.
  6. Interface with customers and vendors to ensure conformance to requirements.
  7. Interpret customer and internal drawings and 3D files.
  8. Communicate design advantages of Amphenol products and customer needs to internal teams.
  9. Review customer documents for compliance with AAO requirements.
  10. Understand financial aspects such as cost and pricing of products.
  11. Redefine designs to meet customer requirements as needed.
Qualifications
  • B.S. degree in engineering, mechanical, or electrical engineering preferred.
  • Ability to work with CAD and ProE applications.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (25-50%).
  • Ability to work in a desk/office setting.
