Job summary

A global technology manufacturer is seeking an experienced Field Applications Engineer to join their sales team. Located in Austin, Texas, the successful candidate will work with customers on designing interconnect products and provide technical support. The role requires a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and excellent communication skills. Additional experience with CAD tools and customer interface is a plus. Qualifications

• 0-4 years of FAE or design engineering experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• CAD drafting capability, specifically with SolidWorks, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review 2D drawings and 3D CADs to identify issues and optimization.
• Work with customers in designing FIT interconnect products.
• Present DFM reports to customers and follow through on feedback.
