Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support regional sales teams in delivering embedded computing solutions for aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. The role is remote with a Texas–Canada territory and requires regular travel.

You will translate customer requirements into technical recommendations, present roadmaps, and support pre-sales engagements with engineering and sales teams. Strong FPGA/DSP and RF/analog knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 3+ years in Field Applications Engineering or equivalent customer-facing technical role.
Strong technical understanding of hardware/software integration and embedded computing systems.
Experience gathering customer requirements and translating them into technical requirements or product recommendations.
Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.
Experience presenting technical information, product capabilities, and solutions to customers.
Strong understanding of FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware and RF/analog technologies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel 50% or more, including overnights and multi-day trips.

Responsibilities

Support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements and recommending appropriate technical solutions.
Present products, roadmaps, and technology capabilities to customers.
Act as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams during pre-sales engagements.
Provide ongoing technical assistance throughout the customer relationship.
Travel regularly across Texas and adjacent regions as required.

Your Role with the Company

As a Field Application Engineer, you will support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements, recommending appropriate technical solutions, and presenting products and technology roadmaps.

Background Profile

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
