Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking a Field Application Engineer (electronics) to support regional sales teams across a remote territory. You will translate customer requirements into technical solutions for FPGA/DSP, RF, and embedded computing platforms in aerospace and defense applications.

The role involves presenting product roadmaps, providing pre-sales support, and traveling 50% or more, often with overnight trips, to engage customers in Texas and across Canada.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
3+ years in Field Applications Engineering or equivalent customer-facing technical role.
Strong hardware/software integration knowledge.
Experience translating customer needs into technical requirements or product recommendations.
Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.
Experience presenting technical information, product capabilities, and solutions to customers.
Strong understanding of FPGA/DSP embedded hardware.
Strong understanding of RF and analog technologies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ including overnight and multi-day trips.
Ability to travel regularly, often ~2 weeks per month depending on demand.

Responsibilities

Your Role with the Company

As a Field Application Engineer, you will support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements, recommending appropriate technical solutions, and presenting products and technology roadmaps.

Background Profile

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in Field Applications Engineering, Technical Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.
Strong technical understanding of hardware/software integration and embedded computing systems.
Experience gathering customer requirements and translating customer needs into technical requirements or product recommendations.
Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.
Experience presenting technical information, product capabilities, and solutions to customers.
Strong understanding of FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware.
Strong understanding of RF and analog technologies.
