Job summary

ANELLO Photonics in Santa Clara, CA seeks a technically skilled applications engineer to interface directly with customers and provide detailed applications support for integrating our SIPHOG gyroscope into customer systems.

You will coordinate complex project-based activities such as proof-of-values and customer demos, and collaborate with ANELLO engineering and product teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Qualifications

  • Degree in EE or CE or related field with strong technical background.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with autonomous vehicles, drones, robotics, navigation, and/or related systems.
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills with a passion for understanding and solving customer needs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Well organized with strong project management skills - including a proven record of managing several projects in parallel.
  • Exposure to IMU, gyroscopes, or inertial navigation in project or work experience.
  • Military or Defense sector experience a plus.
  • Drone or Robotics operations experience a plus.

Job description

ANELLO http://www.anellophotonics.com is a leading-edge technology company based in Santa Clara, CA. The company has developed integrated photonic system-on-chip technology for next generation navigation. ANELLO's SIPHOG™ gyroscope is based on its patented photonic integrated circuit technology. The result is a product that is higher performance, much smaller size and weight, at a fraction of the cost of traditional gyros used in industrial, aerospace and military applications. It enables reliable and accurate navigation and positioning across many autonomous applications and within GPS-denied environments. Anello has growing list of customers and with various market-leading customers in the Construction, Farming, Trucking, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Autonomous Vehicles, and National Security segments. We are growing significantly in Defense and recently received a significant grant to accelerate production of our products for use on a variety of military grade autonomous vehicles (UAV and USV platforms).

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in EE or CE or related field with strong technical background.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience working with autonomous vehicles, drones, robotics, navigation, and/or other similar systems.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a passion for understanding and solving customer needs.
  • Candidate must have excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Well organized and professional with strong project management skills - including a proven record of managing several projects in parallel.
  • Exposure to IMU (inertial measurement unit), gyroscopes, or inertial navigation in project or work experience.
  • Military or Defense sector experience a plus.
  • Drone or Robotics operations experience a plus
