Job summary

Socket.dev in the United States (Woburn, MA) is seeking a Field Application Engineer to interface with customers, project managers and their engineering teams to define and use our single-board computer solutions. You will act as a team leader with other application engineers, provide prompt technical support, and travel to customer sites as needed.

The role is full-time, hybrid/remote with core hours and 40-hour weeks.

The Role

Reporting into the Technical Support Director, as a Field Application Engineer, you will be interfacing with our customers, project managers, and their engineering teams to assist in the definition and use of our solutions such as our single-board computers or systems.

You will also act as a team leader working closely with other application engineers to ensure that prompt and proper technical support is provided to our customers.

You’ll be based at our Woburn, MA facility on a full-time hybrid/Remote basis (and we’re flexible with what that looks like!)We have flexible working with core hours of 10am to 3pm (working 40 hours per week).

What will I be delivering?

This role will consist of two major functions:

• Face-to-face customer support acting as a technical expert.
• Team leader to help strengthen the team in our US office.

This is a fast-paced role where it is critical to be commercially aware as well as customer focused and will be an office-based role with travel to customer sites at short notice.
