Job summary

Protingent Staffing is seeking a Field Application Engineer for a contract role in Irvine, CA. You will deploy and operate robotic systems in the field, support testing and data collection, and assist with client demonstrations.

You will supervise remote operations, translate complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders, document issues and results, and collaborate across teams to improve system performance. Frequent travel across the country is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Strong communication skills—able to translate complex technical topics for various audiences.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the country.
• Up-to-date passport and valid REAL ID (or equivalent travel documentation) preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well in team-based environments.

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and contribute to continuous workflow improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate on system performance and usability.
