The Position
The Field Analytics & Insights Director - Northeast Region is responsible for delivering impactful, data-driven insights that guide key business decisions within a field leadership team across the Genentech portfolio. The Director collaborates closely with leadership to uncover critical business needs and align analytical workstreams with strategic priorities. The role involves leveraging deep analytical, technical, and business expertise to provide clear, actionable recommendations that drive patient and organizational value, focusing on embedding analytics into workflows and guiding cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise stakeholders including Customer Engagement and Field Medical Leadership Teams to define impactful business priorities and develop action plans.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leaders, tailoring messages to influence decision-making.
  • Translate strategic vision into actionable insights using healthcare domain expertise.
  • Identify business needs through stakeholder interactions and lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Implement and embed analytical solutions into workflows, promoting a product-first culture.
  • Mentor analysts and build team proficiency in analytical capabilities.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships independently and proactively support capability evolution.
  • Perform custom analyses addressing business challenges and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and automation of analytic workflows.
  • Guide offshore teams to ensure quality and alignment.
  • Participate in department initiatives and adapt to evolving priorities across various business domains.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, strategy, or analytics.
  • Growth mindset, results-oriented, adaptable, with strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, etc., or an MBA.
  • Experience in biopharma or healthcare environments.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (Excel, Python, SQL, Dataiku, etc.).
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.

Location

  • Based in South San Francisco, CA, with remote options for certain US states. No relocation assistance provided.
