Job summary

Juniper Landscaping is seeking an Agronomy Technician to safely apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and insecticides on our landscape maintenance properties in Raleigh, NC. You will diagnose turf and ornamental issues, prepare products per label instructions, and maintain accurate records of products used.

The role requires a Certified Pesticide Applicator or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, strong communication with clients, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Certified Pesticide applicator is required or preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required with ability to clear MVRecord.
• Knowledge of pesticide, fertilizer, and herbicide products and calibration.
• Experience with turf and ornamental issues.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Experience working outdoors in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Identifying, diagnosing, and treating turf and ornamental issues as they arise.
• Applying fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and insecticides to lawns and plants following label instructions and safety rules.
• Preparing and mixing products per label instructions and product specs.
• Ensuring safe operation of tools, vehicles, and equipment; following safety standards.
• Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle and equipment and keeping records of products used.
• Completing all required correspondence regarding work orders and customer communication.
• Maintaining rapport with customers to retain business and meet expectations.
• Using hand and power tools to perform IPM duties.
